This years EUROBIKE started yesterday and sadly we are not able to get there again. Really sad, because there are a few pretty nice side events, exhibitors (Cinelli with their classic Laser Track Re-Issue!!!) and of course a lot great people we’d love to meet. Maybe next time.
But if you have the chance to get there make sure to visit this sweet event we are sponsoring a bit. There will be a Goldsprint with some nice AURORA goodies for the best racers and also a Fixed Gear Exhibition. Have fun…

Bill Cosby is the man, that’s why we have our beloved “Cosby says” Shirt to pay tribute to him and his life.
Some month ago we discovered AH310, a small german cycling cap maker from Karlsruhe. They make cycling caps from old/new T-Shirts, which is a awesome idea. From the first look at those great caps, it was clear that we want to collaborate with them. This limited cycling cap is the result. Absolute stunning and unique work.
It is made of a new “Cosby says” Shirt and comes in a medium size. This means it fits most heads around 55cm-58cm. Perfectly handcrafted in Germany.
This limited cycling cap is definitely one of a kind. Be quick and get yours. Other sizes on request.

Finally we got something new for you guys. These are our AURORA velcro straps V2.
In summer 2009, we started working on a foot retention system for fixed gear bikes and released our classic velcro strap version for track and road pedals.
Since then we thought about a specific platform pedal version too. Finding the right materials that will meet our demand was really difficult, but finally we found the right stuff.
Our bottom construction is remarkably strong and super stiff. Also the crank will no be scratched, when the straps are installed correct. The angle of the velcro strap construction allows to easy step in and feel secure while riding hard.
The straps can take a serious beating and are perfect for commuting, bike polo, fixed gear freestyle and what ever you like to do with them.
As always, these are handmade by us and you can count on the quality.

Since we are really happy with this release we thought it would be great to offer our new V2 velcro straps bundled with perfectly fitting pedals. You can get our AURORA velcro straps V2 with Animal Hamilton Pedals and also with the awesome Fyxation Pedals. Check it out and get your pair of AURORA velcro straps V2 with pedals.

This is Max Ritter. He lives and rides in Berlin.
Yesterday he and his friend and photographer Kevin Hankel went out for a session at the Museum of Technology in Berlin Kreuzberg. Max tried a BS 5-0 at the gnarly and steep wallride under the bridge. Sadly the spot wasn’t in good shape and so it needed a touch up to continue. They went to the hardware store, bought some filler and filled the cracked concrete. DIY style. When the filler was dry, Max tried the BS 5-0 again, but unfortunately the lack of speed just allowed a really high wallride…
In the end there is still a unfinished business for Max, but some really nice shots from this session.
There is more to come…
Max is sporting the AURORA 5 Panel Cap, the “Crest” Socks and of course the “Cosby says” shirt.

We visited Berlin last weekend. Fashion Week and we are right in the middle. Not.
The only Tradeshow we visited was the 13th edition of the Bright Tradeshow. A nice small show, with a lot great people.
But we also had some time to meet friends in town, party and also have a closer look at this great city. On one side the streetwear scene, nice neighborhoods with small shops, galeries and bars, on the other side touristic sightseeing overkill like every metropolis. And we were lucky enough to find the “Basic Instincts” Exhibition about Dutch Design. Really great, we recomment to have a closer look before it is over. Sadly weekends are too short, to discover more.
But we got some impressions from this trip…

It’s no secret, we are working on a large Messenger Bag for some month now. But developing a technical and rugged Messenger Bag, takes a lot time and materials. So we are prototyping and testing a lot, to finally release something really great and something that will last. On the way to our large Messenger Bag, we thought it would be fun to release our smallest Bag as a kind of foretaste first.
So here it is, our AURORA Micro Messenger Pouch.
This small Pouch is a perfect companion to keep your important items and gadgets in place. Put your wallet, phone, camera, keys, moleskine, pens, etc. in our Micro Messenger Pouch and you are ready to go.
It is made from durable 1100d Cordura, features a YKK velcro closure and a YKK D-Ring.
As always, high quality stuff handmade in Germany.
Size (approx. flat measurement ) :
Width: 15 cm (bottom) / 23 cm (top)
Height: 10 cm
Depth: 6,5 cm (bottom)
We really love this little Bag and we hope you like it, too.
Get your AURORA Micro Messenger Pouch here.

Finally we got our handmades cycling caps online. We made a lot the last months, but due to a lack of time we wanted to wait with the release. In the future we will release a new colorway/cap every month and we will always keep it as a kind of limited edition. The first cap is a plain navy one with subtle logo detail. Pretty clean and made from sturdy cotton. We got only 5 of them, so be quick and get your AURORA cycling cap before they are gone.

To keep you up to date with AURORA: We are sadly really busy in our daily jobs at the moment and this delayed some of your orders. We are really sorry about this and doing our best to get everything out as soon as possible.
Also we are working on some new AURORA apparel, but this will need some time to be finished.
Thanks a lot for your support and patience.

The last weekend was a bit longer and so we decided to take our bikes, sleeping bags and tent in the car and drive to Belgium for a short vacation. We visited Brugges, Oostende and Antwerpen and it was awesome. The weather was great, except the storm in Oostende, and also Belgium is a great country.
We found a nice little store – called VIER – in the streets of Antwerpen.
If you are going to visit Antwerpen, make sure to stop by.
And now check out some impressions of our trip.

Wow, what a nice weekend. A big thank you to the organizer and also congratulations to the lucky winners. I met a lot good people there and the race was good aswell. My result was kind of bad compared to the local messengers, but I had fun and that’s important. On sunday the polo tournament looked nice, but I was to lazy to use my camera.
Sorry for this.

Don’t worry, there are more cleared checkpoints on the back side of the schedule.
