The rose city fix event in portland last weekend was a huge thing. so many riders showed up to celebrate another book release by photographer Brentan Salo and of course to take part in this event. a lot sponsors and great organisation by pedal consumption, gomeansgo and rcfix.

Alleycat, trick contest and footdown competition with around 60 competitors.
really sad that the german scene isn’t that strong yet, but we are working on it.
btw. started www.msfixed.de to build a scene in münster. check it out.

it’s finished! the german fixed gear documentary “fixed city” ( already covered here ) is ready for screening. the premiere will take place friday, 4th of september 9pm at Kinobar Sputnik in Berlin Kreuzberg.
it’s a public screening and the film will be screened with english subtitles.

so everyone around should show up and have a good time. i bet it’s going to be great.

Ich selbst bin seit längerem mit Rennrad/Fixed Gear unterwegs und bastele eben so gerne an entsprechenden Rädern herum. Es gibt einfach nichts besseres als mit einem leichten und wendigen Rad durch die Gegend zu fahren, alles hinter sich zu lassen und den Wind im Gesicht zu spüren. Immer mehr Leute entdecken klassische Rennräder für sich und auch der Fixed Gear Trend tut sein übrigens. Eine gute Entwicklung die nicht nur der Umwelt, sondern auch der Gesundheit gut tut.
Ich bastel viel herum und habe mittlerweile auch schon einige Anfragen bekommen und diverse Räder im Auftrag aufgebaut. Im folgenden ein paar Beispiele aus den letzten 2-3 Monaten.
