AURORA Snapback and Knitted Wool Hats release!

Winter finally arrived in Germany these days, lowest temperature today was about -23°. This is sick! So perfect opportunity to release some more hats to keep your head warm. Today we added three new knitted hats made of 100% wool to the store and restocked our classic Fine Merino Hats. Two of our new hats come with sublte logo detailing in black and olive and one with our new Champion Stripe Logo.

Besides this we also added our first Snapback Cap to the store. All black with classic green under the brim and also a Champion Stripe Logo detail. PERRION x Myth Syzer – “Turn of the tide”

Last week I introduced Perrion from NYC to you guys. Today he dropped the first official video for his upcoming Mixtape “From Paris with love” with French Beatmaker Myth Syzer. The flow is promising, can’t wait to hear the whole Mixtape. It’s dropping on February 28th.
If you are from Paris, make sure to attend the release party on February 16th or if you are from New York City, February 24th is the date.

Here we go 2012!

Hej.
We are still alive alive alive alive alive….!
After several weeks full of trouble and too much work, we are back on track now. A new flat, workspace/workflow new arranged and finally time to put the focus back on AURORA. It might be a bit late, but we hope you had a good start in 2012. This year is going to be great and we are really curious about what will happen. Some new releases are in the making right now and we will put them online as soon as possible. Besides this we are producing all our handmade goods on stock from now on. We want to minimize the waiting time for you in the future and provide you with a better shopping experience.

Not much talk about not-AURORA-related topics here, but maybe we should change this also for 2012. So let me introduce Perrion from NYC to you. He got his new mixtape “Circuit Breaker” out and you should really give it a listen. It’s on heavy rotation in our studio. Download it for free here and check out this song:

There are some nice events (Berlin Bicycle Fair and Pankt Saulopoly Hamburg Ciddy Alleycat/Polo Tournament) coming up pretty soon and we hope to see some of you guys there.

New Shirts, Hooded and Skateboard release…

Today i’m happy to release our Summer Collection 2011. Yes, SS2011. Sounds weird, but it’s true.
Due to many problems, which I will forgot from now on, it took some more month as I expected to finish everything.
But all this is a learning process and I promise we will try to get into this seasonal rhytm thing next year. Hopefully.
But enough talk, we have some nice stuff for you. My personal favorites are the two photographer shirts, printed on a super soft T-Shirt made from 50% organic cotton / 50% recycled polyester.
One called “The Chase” (also on black) features an epic photograph taken by Melbourne based photographer Duncan Ewington. He shoot Joey Dodd some month ago and I bet you have seen this picture around the net.
Now it is on a shirt!

Also we are proud to feature a photograph of our friend Kay Lasenga, who just opened a really nice store in Münster / Germany. He is passioned about photography, collects old and analoge cameras and he got tons of pictures in a large box. The shirt with his photograph is called “Skate!” and it is Kays first photograph which got released so far.

Besides this we also used the chance to drop some simple Logo shirts and a new Zip Hooded.
Our new “Logo Reflex” Zip Hooded features a reflective backprint and increases your visibility on night rides.

The last item for now is one that makes me really happy. I wanted to have my own skateboards for more than 8 years and now the time was right. I think AURORA is the perfect way to release it, because it combines nearly everything i’m passioned about whether it’s bikes, urbanity, art, music, photography, handmade goods, apparel and of course skateboarding.
It is Made in the USA from Canadian Maple Wood and features a bright full-color print.
We hope you will like our first deck called “Galaxy“.

Just came back from Sascha in Düsseldorf, who helped out producing the first AURORA Skateboards. On the pictures you can see some impressions of his neat store called “Rebel Gärage” and of course a glimpse on our new Skateboards. We dropped a full-color universe logo print on a canadian maple wood Skateboard (Made in the USA!!!) for your pleasure. Perfect shape and soon to be available in our webshop.
