AURORA - Sebastian

See you there,

“Gude Zeit” = “Good Times”

That’s what’s it all about.

The force that guides and moves us!
My friend Lorenzo Taurino collected adventures, stories, anecdotes and photographs from his journies and added some more of close friends. All this composed in a neatly printed zine.
Also included is the custom made AURORA x AH310 Bill Cosby Cycling Cap.
I’m really proud to be a small part of this first issue.

You get this zine for free with every order, just add it to your cart and other products.
But feel free to donate something to GUDE ZEIT, if you like to support it and want to help to release more issues!

AURORA x REVERIE – a collaboration!

AURORA x REVERIE - Compact Messenger Bag - Limited Edition
AURORA x REVERIE - Compact Messenger Bag - Limited Edition
One year ago, two close friends of mine finally opened their own store called “Reverie“.
They had a great year and gained a lot attention and positive feedback with their concept.
Besides a nice selection of brands you just rarely find in german shops, they’ve also managed to keep it down to earth and really friendly. It’s always great to see happy customers around the store who just feel good visiting, talking or chilling there.

We often talked about a collaboration and I thought it would be great to have something to celebrate their first year. So I started the collaboration on my own as a suprise.
On the last saturday they celebrated their birthday with close friends and customers. With DJ, cake and drinks it was a nice event and a good opportunity to finally reveal this collaboration!

The result is a highly limited and upgraded edition of the AURORA Compact Messenger Bag. Along all the other features I added a stabilizer belt, a custom Logo patch attached with velcro and also a additional layer of 1100D Cordura for the bottom.
I only made 10 of them.
To complete the look I also added a entirely new AURORA Hooded Zipper with a custom Logo patch, also limited to 10 pieces. This zipper is the first AURORA cut & sew piece.

Both items are only available at the REVERIE store in Münster / Germany or on request.

Make sure to check out the store, if you have the chance.

AURORA and the Olympic Games 2012 in London

AURORA at the Olympic Games in London 2012
the Olympic Games are over and it was a great event. Though I sadly couldn’t be in London and attend the events, I watched Olympia over Streams and TV as often as possible.
The good people in Great Britain did a great job and so did all the athletes.

As some of you might have noticed in previous posts, a little part of my work was also going to be at the Olympic Games. So I was really curious to see the Track Events. The German Track Team is one of the best in the world and they had only to show it again. Two riders of the team, Maximilian Levy and Kristina Vogel, where racing with AURORA velcro straps (the sold out AURORA x KEIRIN version) for a long time now and achieved several medals in other competitions, but the Olympic Games are hard to top.

So to make it short. The Olympic Games were really successful, especially the Olympic Track Cycling Events and I feel proud to be a (really) small part of it. Kristina Vogel and Miriam Welte won the Gold Medal in the Women’s Team Sprint event. Kristina also made it to the 4th place in the Women’s Sprint.
Maximilian Levy won the Bronze Medal with Rene Enders and Robert Förstermann in the Men’s Team Sprint. But this wasn’t all, the most-anticipaded event was the Men’s Keirin.
Maxmilian Levy was focused and performed great in all Keirin races, for some seconds in the last round of the final he even overtook Sir Chris Hoy. But in the end Sir Chris Hoy could set free some extra power and got back the first place. It was a stunning race. Maxmilian Levy won the Silver Medal.

Hats off to the German Team and thank you for using and trusting the AURORA straps!

Road to the Olympic Games 2012 in London

Maximilian Levy at UCI Track World Championships 2012
What’s good people?
A lot of cycling going on at the moment. First week of the Tour de France 2012 is over and besides a lot of crashes it is a exciting event. I’m curious about the next two weeks.
Right after the Tour the Olympic Games 2012 in London will start. This year the Games open with the road cycling events on 28th of july. But much more interesting are the Track Championships starting 2nd of august. A lot germany rider will compete and some of them will sport the AURORA Velcro straps in their races. They found them at the KEIRIN cycling cafe in Berlin and the good people at KEIRIN provided them with several pairs to check them out. In the last two years they tested and approved them in several competitions.
I’m really looking forward to see Maximilian Levy again in a thrilling battle against Chris Hoy.
In April Maximilian Levy reached the 2nd place in the Keirin Finals just centimeters after Chris Hoy at the UCI Track World Championships in Melbourne.

Good Luck!

Woei x ASICS GEL LYTE III “Cervidae” release The Good Will Out - Cologne
hope you are doing well, just want to drop some lines for you to keep you up to date.
The small celebration raffle for AURORAs 1000th facebook like was a success and I found 3 lucky winners. Thanks for all who joined the raffle.

Today and yesterday I visited The Good Will Out sneaker store in cologne, it’s probably the best in Germany. It was kind of a camp out for the Asics Gel Lyte III x WOEI “Cervidae”. Pretty awesome sneaker. Really nice craftmanship and detailing on this one. Check these pictures on SneakerBobs Blog.
I met some really nice people around the store and besides some rain and stuff, it was great.
One of them also got a small label, it’s called Starship Clothing, check it out!

Another thing I would like to share with you are my plans to visit Paris for some days around the 07. july to 11. july. I’m meeting up with Joey Dodd from Australia, you might know him from one of my favorite shirts: AURORA “The Chase” black / “The Chase” white.
Really curious about this awesome city and of course about meeting him. If you are from Paris maybe drop a line and maybe we can meet up aswell for a ride or a beer.

After this I really would like to make short trip to London. Never been there, but really want to take the chance and get there in july/august. So if you are from London and have some space to sleep for 3-4 days, it would be really awesome.

Kind of a pretty personal posting this time, but I hope you don’t mind. There are news on new gear aswell. The cut&sew Zippers and Pants are arriving in the next days and also the new 5 Panel Colorway is in production. I hope to release these pieces along with some more stuff around August/September.
Besides this, i’m prototyping on a large Messenger Bag and also a new Velcro Strap version – the V3.
Not sure when these products will be released, but you will notice. Promised!

Thanks a lot for your time.

AURORA for good people.
