In Collabs We Trust [8 people from 8 countries love collabs]
The collab visible on the left side was made during one weekend in autumn 2008 and included 8 great artists, from 8 countries all over the world.All of these 8 guys are really different, but they have one important thing in common. art! and so they found each other.
This collab is a great example for a amusement many designers put their time and creative energy in. Just type “collab” in the flickr search field and you get thousands of results.
Thanks to this great invention named “internet”, it’s possible to connect to people all over the world easily. So no matter what age you are, which job you are doing or if you have a house and kids or still living with your parent. The creative output counts. On platforms like youtube, vimeo, fotolog, deviantart and flickr artist meet and show of their work. sometimes they trade and sometimes they work together and organize great events. today their are many ways to build something creative. some use blackbooks, canvases, blank stickers or just blank paper to send around the world, from one artist to another. Or sometimes it’s just a simple “.ai” illustrator file. in this case it was such a file. every artist made a part in his unique style and then they merged it all together to one piece. the result is stunning and there is a lot to look at (View Laaarge!). as mentioned before, this collab was made by 8 artists and here they are:
Ciah-Ciah (Poland) , CookieCrew (Brasil) , FLIM (Macedonia) , FormatBrain (Argentina) , HATEMS (Mexico) , Projecto Garaje (Colombia) , Stick-A-Thing (Germany) and SUSPECTO (Australia) !
Btw. this collab is available as high quality print in A5 size ( 14,5 cm x 21 cm). it was printed by the aurora collective in a limited run. it will be available soon in the aurora/art bureau sticker pack and of course will be included in every order.
